Items to Bring
Eleuthera is very laid back and casual so, dress for comfort and leave your city duds behind.
Daytime dress is cotton shorts, shirts and swim suits and light pants, skirts, and shortsleeves for evening. A light jacket is is also recommended. Gals, leave the high heels at home, and instead pack sandals, flip flops and tennis shoes for fun and adventure.
A few other suggested items not to forget are: prescription medications, personal toiletries, sunglasses, hats, camera,
bug repellent (the bugs can be rather relentless certain times of the year at dawn and dusk), sunblock, fly rods (for bone fishing), fishing tackle, snorkeling gear, and special snack items.
It is advisable to bring cash and travelers checks as methods of payment while visiting the Island. Most of the small grocery stores and restaurants do not accept major credit cards.
